Nurse Educators

Exciting opportunities for Nurse Educators with specialties in the following areas: Medical/Surgical, Maternal Child Health, Critical Care or Ambulatory/Interventional Radiology. These are per diem opportunities on the Day and/or Night shift. In this role, you will participate in the development and implementation of nursing practice as well as provide education and reinforcement. Qualified candidates will also identify the learning needs of nursing staff in assigned clinical areas and throughout the Department of Nursing to promote and maintain competency.

Requirements: NYS Registered Nurse license, Masters in Nursing and BLS required as well as Nurse/leadership experience in the specialty area. A minimum of one year experience as a Nurse Educator is also essential for the available positions. Certification in relevant clinical area and Nursing Professional Development preferred.

Registered Nurse, Asthma Program

This key position involves screening and Educating Adult and Pediatric patients with a diagnosis of Asthma in the ER, Inpatient, and Outpatient Practices. These patients will be provided with effective treatment plans, asthma education, medication administration /management and exacerbation prevention. Qualified candidate will also perform outreach telephone calls and home visits, as well as engage in community outreach events.

Requirements: NYS Registered Nurse License, BSN and BLS, required as well as AE-C or the ability to obtain AE-C within the first year of hiring date. Three years experience and Bilingual ability, (English/Spanish) preferred.

Program Director – Quality Improvement

In this role, you are responsible for identifying, implementing, monitoring and evaluating clinical and operational quality improvement activities and providing related consulting and support services for Health Home Program and Care Management Partners. Contributes and participates in the data collection, analysis, implementation of and compliance with risk management and claims activities. Supports and participates with the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) teams.

Requirements: Five (5) years of experience in healthcare setting and progressive administrative leadership experience in quality improvement. NYS Registered Nurse, Master's required, MS Healthcare Quality preferred.
