Registered Nurses – Critical Care

Excellent opportunities are now available to be a part of our Intensive Care Units, which include a 26 bed Medical Intensive Care Unit and 12 bed Cardiac Care Unit. NYS Registered Nurse license, BSN, BLS, and minimum of one year (recent) intensive care unit experience required.

Registered Nurse - Outpatient Women’s Health Service

Opportunity for RN, fluent in English and Spanish, to be part of a high volume outpatient Ob/Gyn practice. Strong emphasis is placed on prenatal, postpartum, breastfeeding, immunizations, STI prevention, and gynecologic education. Shift is 8:30 am to 5 pm. NYS Registered Nurse license, BSN, BLS, and minimum of one year (recent) acute care and Maternal Child Health experience. Electronic fetal monitoring ability is essential. Concentration in high risk obstetrics and certification in electronic fetal monitoring are preferred.

Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse

Serves as a clinical resource to the health care team on issues pertaining to patients with wounds, pressure ulcers, ostomies, fistulas, and incontinence. Educates the patient as well as family, and health care staff on wound, ostomy, and continence care. Develops Protocols & Practice Standards for managing patients with wound ostomy and incontinence care needs. Provides educational programs to clinical and medical staff and participates in Quality Improvement initiatives.

NYS Registered Nurse license, BSN, BLS, and minimum of two years (recent) WOCN experience. Completion of an accredited Wound Ostomy Continence ET Nurse Program and current Certification in Wound Ostomy Continence Nursing is essential. Masters in Nursing preferred.

Obstetrics Technician

Assists nursing staff in the delivery room, including handling instruments peri-operatively; creating and maintaining a sterile field; and preparing instruments/equipment for obstetrical cases in accordance with standard procedures. Other responsibilities include obtaining and recording patient data for medical records, as well as collecting and delivering routine tests on patient specimens. Communication with patients and other members of the health care team to provide continuity and coordination of services is also essential.

Three to six months of Obstetrical Technician Training and One year experience as an Obstetric Technician (will consider Surgical Technician certification) are required. High School graduate/ GED, as well as computer, organizational, verbal, and written skills are essential. Bilingual ability preferred (English and Spanish). Day Night shifts are now available.

Clinical Nurse Liaison – Psychiatry

The Clinical Nurse Liaison will facilitate the provision of care for psychiatric patients in the ER and inpatient Medical/Surgical areas. This position will access individual patient care needs, lead in the development of treatment plans, provide short-term supportive therapy, and educate the interdisciplinary team.

Masters in Nursing, NYS Registered Nurse license, and BLS required. Minimum of five years experience in the management of the acute psychiatric patient is essential, with Certification in Psychiatric Nursing preferred.

Qualified candidates will participate in the planning and implementation, as well as provision of education and reinforcement for nursing practices. NYS Registered Nurse license, Masters in Nursing, and BLS required. Nurse/leadership and a minimum of one year experience as a Nurse Educator is also essential. Certification in relevant clinical area and Nursing Professional Development preferred.

Registered Nurse, Asthma Program

This key position involves screening and Educating Adult and Pediatric patients with a diagnosis of Asthma in the ER, Inpatient, and Outpatient Practices. These patients will be provided with effective treatment plans, asthma education, medication administration /management and exacerbation prevention. Qualified candidate will also perform outreach telephone calls and home visits, as well as engage in community outreach events.

Requirements: NYS Registered Nurse License, BSN and BLS, required as well as AE-C or the ability to obtain AE-C within the first year of hiring date. Three years experience and Bilingual ability, (English/Spanish) preferred.
