The Department of Pediatrics is seeking to hire a full-time Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, for our pediatric ambulatory health centers. In this role, the PNP will be part of our extensive outpatient network, serving the South Bronx, with more than 40,000 visits per year, for children and adolescents. The Nurse Practitioner will provide a full range of services, in the treatment of acute and chronic pediatric conditions. In addition, the Nurse Practitioner focuses on health promotion, disease prevention, health education and counseling.
Requirements: Minimum of one plus years’ experience, in a healthcare setting, as a P.N.P. NYS Pediatric NP license and certification; current BLS. Spanish speaking preferred.
Excellent opportunities are now available to be a part of our Intensive Care Units, which include a 26 bed Medical Intensive Care Unit and 12 bed Cardiac Care Unit. NYS Registered Nurse license, BSN, BLS, and minimum of one year (recent) intensive care unit experience required.
Opportunity for RN, fluent in English and Spanish, to be part of a high volume outpatient Ob/Gyn practice. Strong emphasis is placed on prenatal, postpartum, breastfeeding, immunizations, STI prevention, and gynecologic education. Shift is 8:30 am to 5 pm. NYS Registered Nurse license, BSN, BLS, and minimum of one year (recent) acute care and Maternal Child Health experience. Electronic fetal monitoring ability is essential. Concentration in high risk obstetrics and certification in electronic fetal monitoring are preferred.
Assists nursing staff in the delivery room, including handling instruments peri-operatively; creating and maintaining a sterile field; and preparing instruments/equipment for obstetrical cases in accordance with standard procedures. Other responsibilities include obtaining and recording patient data for medical records, as well as collecting and delivering routine tests on patient specimens. Communication with patients and other members of the health care team to provide continuity and coordination of services is also essential.
Three to six months of Obstetrical Technician Training and One year experience as an Obstetric Technician (will consider Surgical Technician certification) are required. High School graduate/ GED, as well as computer, organizational, verbal, and written skills are essential. Bilingual ability preferred (English and Spanish). Day Night shifts are now available.
