Serving one of the poorest communities in the nation, BronxCare remains committed to providing accessible, high-quality, and compassionate care. Close to 750,000 visits are provided annually, a number that continues to grow. Its practices are also certified at the highest level for a Patient-Centered Medical Home from the National Committee for Quality Assurance.

In 2024, BronxCare expanded its services with the opening of a new Pediatric Specialty Center. This facility offers specialized care in Pulmonology, Cardiology, Hematology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Behavioral Development, Allergy and Immunology, Autism, and Sickle Cell Disease, underscoring BronxCare’s commitment to addressing the diverse and critical health needs of children in the community. Additionally, BronxCare’s Ophthalmology Service was relocated into newly expanded space at the Concourse Hospital Division to accommodate the growing demand. This facility features specialized ophthalmic and laser treatment rooms, as well as expanded registration and reception areas. Future plans include the expansion of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Third Avenue Practice as well as the relocation of the MBD practice into newly renovated space in a major shopping center. BronxCare is also focused on increasing access by planning to extend evening and weekend hours for its practice network.

“Our BronxCare network is continuously striving to improve clinical operations and reinforce the highest level of care. We are dedicated to enhancing the experience for our patients, staff, and the community, ensuring that every aspect of our service reflects an unwavering commitment to quality, compassion, and health care excellence.”
