División Concourse: Pautas de visita

(Effective 12/23/2021)

• For all patients who have COVID-19 or patients suspected of having COVID-19, visitors are not permitted.

• All visitors must be 18 years of age or older.

• Adult patients at the Concourse Division may have visitors between the hours of 2 p.m.–6 p.m.

• Unless otherwise authorized by the hospital:
– Visitors are limited to one (1) person at a time.

• Name and contact information for visitors, the date(s) of their visits, and the name of the patient(s) visited are maintained in an electronic format by BCHS.

• Visitors must wash their hands with soap and water or use hand sanitizer before entering and exiting the patient’s room.

• Visitors must be advised by hospital staff, how to perform hand hygiene and how to wear the PPE, and must adhere to such procedures.

• Once in BCHS, visitors must remain in the patient’s room throughout the visit except when directed by hospital staff to leave during aerosol-generating procedures or other procedures during which visitors are usually asked to leave.


SPECIAL DEPARTMENT CONSIDERATIONS

Labor and Delivery

• Two (2) support persons, including a doula if requested, may accompany the patient throughout labor, delivery, and the postpartum period, including recovery, until discharge to home. The support persons can be the patient’s spouse, partner, sibling, parent, or other persons of their choice.


Maternity

• Maternity patients may have one (1) designated support person with them throughout their hospital stay.
• One (1) additional visitor may also be with the patient during hospital designated visiting hours.


Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

• Visitation is allowed from 10am – 8pm.
• Two (2) designated support persons who rotate to enable one (1) support person at the bedside.
• All other visitation guidelines remain in effect.


Pediatrics

• Pediatric patients may have one (1) support person with them at all times and may rotate throughout their hospital stay.
• One (1) additional visitor may also be with the patient during hospital designated visiting hours.


Patients with Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities (I/DD)

• Patients with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (I/DD) and patients with cognitive impairments including dementia, may designate one (1) support person to remain with them through their hospitalization. An additional visitor may also be with the patient during hospital-designated visiting hours.


Emergency Room

• No visitors are allowed. Exceptions may be granted by the clinical team when it is medically necessary for the patient's well-being.


End of Life Situations

• Two (2) support persons may be designated to remain with patients in imminent end-of-life situations. Additional visitors may be allowed when it is determined to be appropriate by the hospital.


Procedures

• Patients undergoing same day procedures may be accompanied by one (1) support person to the hospital and may remain in a hospital designated waiting area until the patient is discharged, unless otherwise disallowed by the hospital according to the patient’s status, condition, circumstances.
• One (1) support person may be present during pediatric and child birth procedures.
• Visitors may be present during pediatric and childbirth procedures and with patients with an intellectual, developmental, or other cognitive disabilities, or end of life situations and in other situations as authorized by the hospital, depending upon the patient’s status and condition.

Campus de Fulton: Pautas de visita

• No se permiten las visitas a ningún paciente que tenga COVID-19 o a pacientes con sospecha de tener COVID-19.

• Todos los visitantes deben ser mayores de 18 años.

• Solo se permitirá un (1) visitante a la vez. Las visitas se llevarán a cabo en el comedor.

• Los visitantes deben someterse a controles de síntomas y temperatura al entrar al BCHS, y se les negará la entrada si informan de una exposición significativa a la COVID-19 o de síntomas durante los 10 días anteriores o si tienen una temperatura igual o superior a 100.0 grados Fahrenheit.

• Los visitantes deben utilizar un desinfectante de manos al entrar en el hospital.

• A los visitantes se les entregará una mascarilla para que la usen.

• Los visitantes deben usar una mascarilla en todo momento. Los visitantes que no usen mascarilla y no sigan las directrices de control de infecciones no podrán permanecer en el hospital.

• El BCHS mantiene en formato electrónico el nombre y la información de contacto de los visitantes, la(s) fecha(s) de sus visitas y el nombre de los pacientes visitados.

• Los visitantes reciben y deben usar los EPI adecuados.

• • Los visitantes deben lavarse las manos con agua y jabón o utilizar un desinfectante de manos antes de entrar y salir de la unidad.

• El personal del hospital aconseja a los visitantes cómo realizar la higiene de las manos y cómo usar el EPI, y deben cumplir con dichos procedimientos.


CPEP

• No se permiten visitas. El equipo clínico puede conceder excepciones cuando sea médicamente necesario para el bienestar del paciente.
