Kafa Meshrqi

Kafa Meshrqi, as the new Director of Human Resources Operations, is building on her experience and accomplishments in the field. Ms. Meshrqi comes to BronxCare from St. John’s Riverside Hospital in Yonkers where her responsibilities included benefit management, human resources information systems, union contract negotiations, and human resources operations. Ms. Meshrqi also holds a Bachelor’s degree from Jordan University of Science and Technology, where she majored in Civil Engineering, and a Master’s degree from Mercy College in Public Administration.

As Director, Human Resources Operations, Ms. Meshrqi, working alongside the Assistant Vice President, Human Resources, is overseeing total rewards, which includes benefit and compensation management, talent acquisition, human resources information systems (HRIS), and human resources operations support. “I am continually looking at existing procedures and directing my efforts towards streamlining the process, with the end result, time savings and cost savings to BronxCare,” stated Ms. Meshrqi. She is also actively involved in reviewing and updating existing policy manuals, as well as developing new ones that are responsive to the current environment. Ms. Meshrqi has also assumed responsibility for the human resources function at the BronxCare Special Care Center. She is now working in collaboration with its senior management to review and refine policies, procedures, and benefits.

Ms. Meshrqi’s experience in health care and the human resources field will provide BronxCare’s Human Resources Department with important opportunities for expansion and innovation. “My goal is to consistently work towards benefiting our organization and employees, providing them with the best human resources platform that will support BronxCare’s standing in the health care industry as the employer of choice for the Bronx and New York,” stated Ms. Meshrqi.

Currently, Ms. Meshrqi lives in Yonkers and has three children–two sons and one daughter. She enjoys biking and swimming, as well as listening to audio books.
