CHAIRMAN – DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHIATRY

Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center, a 972-bed teaching hospital and health care system now has an important opportunity for an experienced and dynamic Psychiatrist to direct its Department of Psychiatry, as Chairman. This department is widely recognized as a leader in the provision of community mental health services, accounting for more than 200,000 visits annually and offering comprehensive care at the inpatient and outpatient levels for mental health and chemical dependency problems affecting adults, adolescents, and children. It is also fully accredited by the ACGME, with residency programs in Psychiatry, Addiction Psychiatry, Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, and Psychosomatic Medicine.

Qualified candidates must be board certified in Psychiatry and possess excellent clinical, management, and communications skills, as well as the credentials to qualify for academic appointment at the Icahn School of Medicine (Bronx-Lebanon’s medical school affiliate). Knowledge of JCAHO, Department of Mental Health, and ACGME standards is essential, as is a proven record of accomplishments in the field.

Pediatric Residency Faculty Position

Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center, a 972-bed teaching hospital and health care system, with a widely recognized and outstanding Department of Dentistry, now has an excellent opportunity in the Pediatric Dental area for a full time or part time faculty member. Primary responsibilities include direct patient care, as well as clinical and resident supervision and instruction. Additional responsibilities involve supervision of residents in the OR, Inpatient, and Emergency Department (on call area). Experience in supervising/training dental residents, in addition to skills in all aspects of Pediatric Dentistry are essential. Excellent leadership, mentorship, administrative, and organizational abilities, with a positive attitude towards maintaining a team-oriented work environment are needed for this position. A DDS/DMD degree from a U.S. or Canadian CODA accredited dental school; successful completion of a CODA accredited program in Pediatric Dentistry; Board eligible/certified; and eligibility for New York State licensure are required.
