This key position involves both Robotics and General Urology. BronxCare has performed robotic urologic procedures since 2014 and is in the process of completing an upgrade to a Dual Console XI System.

Ambulatory Care Pediatrician

BronxCare Health System, a major teaching hospital and health system, now has an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatrician in our outpatient ambulatory care area to work with an urban/underserved population in a dynamic academic department. BronxCare’s Department of Pediatrics encompasses an Inpatient & Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, four outpatient practices, and an ER. It is also an academic teaching center with 44 residents, medical students, and an active research agenda with multiple grant-funded programs.

Responsibilities for this position include the provision of outpatient care to children from birth to 21 years of age at our pediatric outpatient practices. In addition, the precepting of residents’ medical students from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (BronxCare’s medical school affiliate) and other programs, as well as participation in the department’s academic agenda, including grand rounds, conferences, Quality Improvement programs, and resident/medical student didactics are an integral part of this position. Weekend nursery and phone call coverage on a rotating schedule are also required.

Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician

Clinical responsibilities include the diagnosis and continuing care of children with a broad range of neurodevelopmental and behavioral conditions, including autism spectrum disorders, developmental delays, intellectual disability, ADHD, learning disorders, and emotional and behavioral disorders. Social Workers

BronxCare Health System now has important opportunities at the outpatient and inpatient levels in its Department of Social Work. At BronxCare, Social Workers lead, learn, and educate, as well as collaborate across the full spectrum of key areas, providing discharge planning, transition of care, and education.

  • Outpatient Social Workers (two positions available)
    Under the direction of clinical supervisors, Outpatient Social Workers are responsible for determining and assisting in the resolution of patient/family issues and working with an interdisciplinary team in providing patient care, preparing statistical reports, and serving as a liaison within the department, hospital, and with community agencies. Activities and related efforts will also be directed to assuring the smooth functioning of the social work program.

    Master’s degree from an accredited Graduate School of Social Work and a minimum of two years’ post-graduate experience in providing social work services within a hospital, medical, or mental health setting are essential. LCSW/LMSW required. Bilingual abilities are also preferred.
  • Inpatient Level (three positions available)
    Inpatient Social Workers will utilize their experience in providing psychosocial services as well as coordinate discharge planning and a continuum of care for patients and families. Inpatient Social Worker will also assist in enhancing the capabilities for assigned patients in coping with illness, crisis situations, and daily functioning.

    Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) and New York State License as an LMSW are required. Limited permit is needed for newly graduated social workers (must provide exam date prior to start of employment). At least one year of prior Social Services employment preferred.

Director of Gynecology

BronxCare Health System, a major teaching hospital and health system, now has an important opportunity for an experienced and dynamic Obstetrician & Gynecologist to direct the Division of Gynecology. The OB/GYN Department has 29 faculty members, 14 midwives, 5 NPs, 3 PAs and 18 residents providing 70,000 outpatient visits annually with subspecialists present onsite, including gynecological oncology (1), female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery (2), minimally invasive gynecological surgery and robotics (1), reproductive endocrinology and infertility (1), and maternal fetal medicine (3). The gyn service is very busy with a dedicated ambulatory suite exclusively for gyn in addition to block time availability every day of the week in the main OR.

Qualified candidates must be Board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology and have excellent clinical and surgical skills as well as the credentials to qualify for academic appointment at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (BronxCare’s medical school affiliate).
