The goal of the Transitional Year Program is to provide its Residents with the education and training required to become expert clinicians, competent to manage the wide spectrum of problems encountered in Family Medicine.

The core of knowledge encompassed during this one-year program prepares each Resident for their unique role as health care advocates for family units. In addition, the physician will understand the importance of their addressing health care and non-healthcare related needs.

“We strive to meet the level of excellence established by the American Board of Family Medicine and the faculty of BronxCare's Family Medicine Department.”
