Pediatric Medical Education

Resident and medical student education is at the core of the department’s mission. “We continue to be successfully in recruiting high quality residents through the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) match,” stated Dr. Peter Sherman, Chairman, Pediatrics. The department is also a teaching site for the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, American University of the Caribbean, St. George’s University, and CUNY School of Medicine. College and social work students also regularly rotate through the department.

Plans for the future include a new Pediatric Specialty Center on the BronxCare Concourse campus, with completion in late 2023.
