BronxCare’s Department of Surgery is at the forefront of advancing technology. Under the leadership of Dr. William Lois, Chairman, Surgery, the department is continuing to recruit highly trained surgeons with an expertise in minimally invasive laparoscopic, robotic, breast, pediatric, and thoracic surgery, as well as colorectal and surgical oncology. These surgeons bring the highest caliber of surgical skills and their proven experience, clearly helping patients and the community.

At BronxCare, a full range of general and subspecialty surgical services, including gastrointestinal, bariatric, surgical oncology, breast, endocrine, thoracic, vascular, urology, trauma, and critical care, are provided. Advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgeries, as well as reconstructive, plastic, and cosmetic procedures, are also available. Additionally, a Comprehensive Breast Care Center and expanded Wound Care Center are responding to the needs of the community. Two state-of-the-art Operating Rooms were also recently added.
