Dr. Grodman aims to grow the sickle cell care center at the BronxCare at Poe Medical Practice with unique care options for our sickle cell patients, including hydroxyurea and other modalities to help improve quality of life. Long term goal for patients is the eventual transition to adult hematology care. Additionally, Dr. Grodman places an added emphasis on the education of families with children demonstrating the sickle cell trait.

“We will be developing the division of pediatric oncology, creating a therapeutic center close to home for our children in the South Bronx who have been diagnosed with a childhood cancer. We will be part of the international Children’s Oncology Group (COG), so that the latest cutting edge therapies will be available right here at BronxCare Hospital Center,” stated Dr. Grodman.
