Patient Care Manager- Evening Shift

BronxCare Health System, a major teaching hospital and health system, now has an excellent opportunity for a Nurse Manager to provide clinical leadership for the nursing department on the evening shift. The Nurse Manager will make daily rounds on all patient care units to develop and implement a staffing plan for the evening shift, based on patient acuity, census, and available nursing staff. In addition, the Nurse Manager will serve as a resource in resolving clinical problems and efficiently utilize staff resources to meet patient care requirements. The Nurse Manager will work collaboratively with nursing and other staff to identify and resolve operational issues and, when necessary, respond to emergency situations. In this key role, the Nurse Manager will also develop and maintain an environment of excellence in patient/family service, as well as development of staff and application of evidenced-based practice.

New York State Registered Nurse license and BSN (Master’s preferred) is required. A minimum of three years' progressive leadership; excellent, proven communication and management skills and experience; and memberships in pertinent professional health care organizations are essential.

Nurse Manager – Surgical/Medical Unit

BronxCare Health System, a major teaching hospital and health system, now has an excellent opportunity for a Nurse Manager to provide the clinical leadership and management of a 23-bed surgical post-operative unit. This key leadership position encompasses a surgical/medical unit designated for post-operative, as well as medical patients with a wide range of conditions.

In this key position, the Nurse Manager will develop and maintain an environment of excellence in patient / family service, as well as staff development and application of evidenced-based practice.  New York State Registered Nurse license and BSN, as well as BLS, and minimum of two years' Medical/Surgical leadership experience required. Master’s in Nursing preferred.
