In accordance with New York State Department of Health Guidelines to all hospitals in the State regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19), BronxCare is suspending all visitations. The only exceptions will be for medical necessity when a visitor is essential to the care of the patient, as well as for family members or legal representatives of patients in end-of-life situations. When a birth is involved, only the husband or significant other, and not the grandparents, will be allowed to visit. Visitors meeting these exceptions must first be screened for symptoms (cough, shortness of breath, or fever) or potential exposure to someone with COVID-19.
Our BronxCare family thanks you for your cooperation and understanding during this difficult time period for all of us.
In August 2017, BronxCare Health System received official notification of its full three-year Accreditation from the Joint Commission, the nation’s leading accrediting authority for hospitals. This notification followed a comprehensive and detailed five-day survey of the hospital and its outpatient practices.
