Concourse Hospital Division Visitation Guidelines/
During the COVID-19 Pandemic (Inpatient Units)

• Adult patients may have visitors between the hours of 2:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m.

• Visitors will be screened for symptoms of COVID-19 and a temperature taken when arriving at the hospital. Anyone who has symptoms or has had exposure to someone with COVID-19 within the last 14 days will not be permitted to visit.

• Visitors must be 18 years of age or older.

• Only one (1) visitor at a time is permitted.

• Visitors must wash their hands with soap and water or use hand sanitizer before entering and exiting the patient’s room.

• Visitors must wear a mask and must remain in the patient’s room throughout their visit.

• If needed, visitors will be provided with personal protective equipment (PPE) to wear and be instructed on how to put PPE on and properly remove it.

• Visitors who fail to wear a face mask or other type of PPE and do not follow infection control guidelines will not be allowed to remain in the facility.

• Adult visitors are not permitted to visit patients who have COVID-19 or with patients suspected of having COVID-19.

• Patients undergoing same-day procedures may be accompanied to the hospital by a support person. The support person will be allowed to escort the patient to the procedure area and may return to pick up the patient upon discharge. The support person may not wait in the recovery room or waiting room.

• Exceptions may be granted by BronxCare’s clinical team when it is medically necessary for a patient’s well-being.


Labor & Delivery

• One support person is permitted during the labor and delivery process.
• All other visitation guidelines remain in effect.


Maternity

• One support person is permitted to visit.
• All other visitation guidelines remain in effect.


Pediatrics/Pediatric Intensive Care Unit

• One parent is allowed to stay with their child at all hours.
• All other visitation guidelines remain in effect.


Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

• Visitation is allowed by appointment only with the time designated by the clinical team.
• All other visitation guidelines remain in effect.


Emergency Room (Concourse & Fulton)

• No visitors are allowed. Exceptions may be granted by the clinical team when it is medically necessary for the patient's well-being.

Fulton Campus Visitation Guidelines/During the COVID-19 Pandemic

• Visitors will be screened for symptoms of COVID-19 and their temperature taken when arriving at the Fulton Campus facilities. Anyone who has symptoms or had exposure to someone with COVID-19 within the last 14 days will not be permitted to visit.

• Visitors must be 18 years of age or older.

• Only one (1) visitor at a time will be permitted. Visitation will be held in the dining room.

• Visitors must wear a mask at all times. Visitors who fail to wear a face mask and do not follow infection control guidelines will not be allowed to remain in the facility.

• Visitors must wash their hands with soap and water or use hand sanitizer before entering and exiting the unit.

• Adult visitors are not permitted to visit patients who have COVID-19 or with patients suspected of having COVID-19.

• Exceptions may be granted by BronxCare’s clinical team when it is medically necessary for a patient’s well-being.
