• For all patients who have COVID-19 or patients suspected of having COVID-19, visitors are not permitted.
• All visitors must be 18 years of age or older.
• Adult patients at the Concourse Division may have visitors between the hours of 2 p.m.–6 p.m.
• Unless otherwise authorized by the hospital:
– Visitors are limited to one (1) person at a time.
• Name and contact information for visitors, the date(s) of their visits, and the name of the patient(s) visited are maintained in an electronic format by BCHS.
• Visitors must wash their hands with soap and water or use hand sanitizer before entering and exiting the patient’s room.
• Visitors must be advised by hospital staff, how to perform hand hygiene and how to wear the PPE, and must adhere to such procedures.
• Once in BCHS, visitors must remain in the patient’s room throughout the visit except when directed by hospital staff to leave during aerosol-generating procedures or other procedures during which visitors are usually asked to leave.
• Two (2) support persons, including a doula if requested, may accompany the patient throughout labor, delivery, and the postpartum period, including recovery, until discharge to home. The support persons can be the patient’s spouse, partner, sibling, parent, or other persons of their choice.
• Maternity patients may have one (1) designated support person with them throughout their hospital stay.
• One (1) additional visitor may also be with the patient during hospital designated visiting hours.
• Visitation is allowed from 10am – 8pm.
• Two (2) designated support persons who rotate to enable one (1) support person at the bedside.
• All other visitation guidelines remain in effect.
• Pediatric patients may have one (1) support person with them at all times and may rotate throughout their hospital stay.
• One (1) additional visitor may also be with the patient during hospital designated visiting hours.
• Patients with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (I/DD) and patients with cognitive impairments including dementia, may designate one (1) support person to remain with them through their hospitalization. An additional visitor may also be with the patient during hospital-designated visiting hours.
• No visitors are allowed. Exceptions may be granted by the clinical team when it is medically necessary for the patient's well-being.
• Two (2) support persons may be designated to remain with patients in imminent end-of-life situations. Additional visitors may be allowed when it is determined to be appropriate by the hospital.
• Patients undergoing same day procedures may be accompanied by one (1) support person to the hospital and may remain in a hospital designated waiting area until the patient is discharged, unless otherwise disallowed by the hospital according to the patient’s status, condition, circumstances.
• One (1) support person may be present during pediatric and child birth procedures.
• Visitors may be present during pediatric and childbirth procedures and with patients with an intellectual, developmental, or other cognitive disabilities, or end of life situations and in other situations as authorized by the hospital, depending upon the patient’s status and condition.
• For all patients who have COVID-19 or patients suspected of having COVID-19, visitors are not permitted.
• All visitors must be 18 years of age or older.
• Only one (1) visitor at a time will be permitted. Visitation will be held in the dining room.
• Visitors must undergo symptom and temperature checks upon entering BCHS, and shall be denied entry if they report significant COVID-19 exposure or symptoms during the prior 10 days or have a temperature equal to or greater than 100.0 degrees Fahrenheit.
• Visitors must use hand sanitizer upon entry to the hospital.
• Visitors will be given a mask to wear.
• Visitors must wear a mask at all times. Visitors who fail to wear a face mask and do not follow infection control guidelines will not be allowed to remain in the hospital.
• Name and contact information for visitors, the date(s) of their visits, and the name of the patient(s) visited are maintained in an electronic format by BCHS.
• Visitors are provided with and must wear appropriate PPE.
• Visitors must wash their hands with soap and water or use hand sanitizer before entering and exiting the unit.
• Visitors are advised by hospital staff how to perform hand hygiene and how to wear the PPE, and must adhere to such procedures.
• No visitors are allowed. Exceptions may be granted by the clinical team when it is medically necessary for the patient's well-being.
