In May, 2013, a team of OB/GYN and Neonatal specialists delivered the gift of three lives to proud parents, Norma Rodriguez and Raul Velazquez. The delivery was done by caesarean section and successfully performed at BronxCare Health System. Triplets, Nylah weighing 4 pounds, 13 ounces; Nilani, weighing 4 pounds, 4 ounces; and Nyellie, weighting 4 pounds, 13 ounces, were born prematurely in excellent condition at 34 weeks into the pregnancy. "Triplets are a rare condition that occurs in 1 in 8,000 births and requires extensive prenatal and postnatal care," stated Dr. Mikhail, chairman, OB/GYN.

Following the delivery, the baby girls were taken to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for further observation. Now each of them are thriving. "We thank BronxCare Health System from the bottom of our hearts for bringing our three beautiful baby girls into the world," stated Mr. Velazquez.
